PHP Developer - 6 Month Contract

We are seeking a highly skilled PHP Developer for a six-month contract to contribute to multiple software products in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. This role involves working closely with a small development team on backend and frontend integration, building robust applications, and leveraging cloud technologies to support business-critical operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with PHP, Laravel, PostgreSQL, and REST APIs, along with familiarity in AWS and frontend technologies such as React and JavaScript. Exposure to the insurance or financial services sector is preferred. This fully remote role offers the opportunity to work on impactful projects while maintaining a high standard of quality and efficiency.

Accountabilities:

·         Develop, maintain, and enhance PHP-based applications using Laravel and PostgreSQL.

·         Integrate REST APIs and collaborate on backend and frontend solutions with React/JavaScript technologies.

·         Work with a small development team to deliver high-quality software in a fast-paced environment.

·         Participate in code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization.

·         Implement and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS.

·         Ensure software solutions meet functional and technical requirements, including security and scalability.

·         Strong experience in PHP and Laravel framework.

·         Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and REST API integration.

·         Knowledge of frontend technologies including React and JavaScript.

·         Familiarity with AWS cloud services.

·         Experience working in the insurance or financial services industry is preferred.
