This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Lead Report Developer in the United States.
We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Report Developer to drive the design, development, and delivery of advanced reporting and analytics solutions. In this role, you will lead the creation of dashboards, interactive reports, and ad hoc queries, ensuring high-quality and compliant data solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including pharmacovigilance, IT, and business stakeholders, to understand requirements and translate them into actionable BI solutions. This position requires expertise in BI tools, database systems, and reporting frameworks, with a focus on efficiency, regulatory compliance, and user satisfaction. You will also mentor other developers, establish best practices, and contribute to process improvements in reporting and analytics. This role allows for up to 100% remote work, offering flexibility while delivering critical insights for decision-making.
Accountabilities:
- Lead the development and delivery of global reporting solutions, including dashboards, interactive analysis views, and ad hoc reports.
- Identify user requirements, design reporting solutions, and implement BI tools such as Oracle and Cognos.
- Optimize, tune, and maintain reporting systems to ensure performance, reliability, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Lead system and data investigations to support end-user inquiries and departmental requirements.
- Provide strategic input into the development and standardization of reporting processes, best practices, and documentation.
- Research and implement automated processes to improve overall efficiency in reporting and analytics.
- Mentor and train other developers, sharing expertise and promoting best practices in report development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Pharmaceutical/Life Sciences, or related field. Graduate degree preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in report development, BI, or data analytics within a regulated environment.
- Expertise in pharmacovigilance or drug safety systems and their underlying data models.
- Proficiency with reporting and analytics tools (Oracle, Cognos) and database development.
- Knowledge of software/system development lifecycle principles and GxP/21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage small projects from requirements to implementation.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with global teams.
