This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an IT Training Specialist I in the United States.
We are seeking a skilled IT Training Specialist I to develop, deliver, and support technical training programs for a diverse user base across multiple locations. This role involves designing courses, creating documentation, and conducting both in-person and remote training sessions for employees with varied skill levels. The ideal candidate will be highly adaptable, possess strong technical expertise, and be capable of quickly learning new software applications. You will collaborate with IT and business teams to identify training needs, ensure effective adoption of technology, and contribute to the overall growth and efficiency of the organization. This position also requires occasional travel to support training initiatives and remote classrooms.
Accountabilities:
- Analyze business and technology challenges to determine training needs in collaboration with production and support teams.
- Design and develop custom training courses using multiple delivery methods including instructor-led sessions, eLearning, webinars, documentation, and presentations.
- Conduct training sessions for home office staff, remote users, and county office personnel.
- Create user documentation and job aids to support self-directed learning.
- Maintain high-level technical expertise in software applications and stay current with evolving technology.
- Assist in administration of the company Learning Management System (LMS) and provide backup support for the help desk as needed.
- Support setup and troubleshooting of remote training classrooms, including hardware and connectivity management.
- Travel occasionally, including day and overnight trips, to facilitate training programs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience providing IT training, or 5 years equivalent experience in IT user training.
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS (7 and above) and Microsoft Office suite.
- Experience creating technical documentation and training materials.
- Proficiency with Learning Management Systems (LMS), content authoring software, remote assistance tools, and case/policy management systems.
- Experience conducting classroom and virtual training sessions for adult learners of varying skill levels.
- Ability to set up and manage training hardware including projectors, computers, peripherals, and network connections.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with strong technical and business writing abilities.
- Willingness to pursue or maintain a Training Certification.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
