Job Description
We are looking for new team members to join Helprise as General Ledger (GL) Accountants.
In this role you will support our Clients – Fortune 500 companies – in setting up and expanding their Business Services Centers servicing EMEA region with a focus on advanced finance & accounting processes.
Depending on your experience, you will be involved in the transition of the finance, tax or accounting processes from the European locations to Poland and post-transition stabilization.
Location
- Various cities in Poland – remote work options available
- Depending on the Client occasional presence in the office may be required

Responsibilities
Depending on the Client and your level of experience you will be involved in the following:
- Handling General Ledger processes
- Supporting all aspects of GL monthly/quarterly/annual close activities
- Leveraging strong relationships with other finance and non-finance teams, as well as external providers, to maintain and update shared processes, tools, and reporting activities
- Ensure adherence of processes to company's policies and procedures, internal and external audit requirements and local rules and regulations
- Supporting strengthening of financial processes and controls
- Supporting local, regional, and global projects, as required
- Be an activate advocate of finance function
- Maintain focus on continuous process improvement
Requirements
- Bachelor’s / master’s degree in finance / accounting
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA / CIMA / CPA / ACA / CMA)
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Proficiency in MS Office, in particular Excel (reporting, data analysis, etc.)
- Fluent in spoken and written English – knowledge of other languages (French, German, Italian, Dutch) will be an advantage
- Experienced in working in an international environment
- Experienced in working in the SSC / BSC
- Ability to solve problems and propose improvements
- Customer service skills
- Ability to work as a part of a team
- Disciplined and well organized - able to meet deadlines
- Ready to work in a dynamically developing organization
- Due to regional scope, an ability and willingness to travel internationally might be required, and at a critical time (e.g., month-end) additional hours may be necessary (also, and on an exceptional basis, the role may require work on public holidays)
