Job Description
Real opportunities. Real impact. Your career, redefined.
(NOTE: A human reviews every application at Oceans, so please apply for only one position and only once a year—if you're a better fit for another role, we’ll route your application accordingly and if we’re not quite ready for you, we’ll reach back out later).
At Oceans, we help the best and brightest of Sri Lanka to take advantage of opportunities that otherwise wouldn’t be available to them, while supporting entrepreneurs around the world. Our community (we call them Divers) don’t do surface work—they go deep to solve complex challenges and make a real impact. And in doing so, they support bold ideas and expand their skills, broaden their expertise, and grow their careers, all without having to leave family and friends.
We’re hiring a Growth Marketer (Product-Led Growth) to partner with a fast-growing B2B SaaS company building the leading Salesforce DevOps, security, and backup platform. The company is now launching a new product built for Salesforce developers, architects, and admins — designed to drive adoption through a product-led growth (PLG) motion for the first time.
This is a high-visibility, hands-on role for an analytical and creative growth marketer ready to build, launch, and scale PLG campaigns from scratch.
Accountability
As a Growth Marketer, your success will be defined by your ability to design, execute, and optimize product-led growth initiatives — from acquisition through activation, retention, and revenue. You’ll collaborate across product, analytics, and marketing teams to establish the foundation for a PLG engine that scales.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
Product-Led Growth Activation
- Launch campaigns targeting Salesforce developers, admins, and architects.
- Design onboarding funnels and identify drop-off points to accelerate time-to-value.
- Instrument analytics to track activation, retention, and revenue conversion.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to integrate growth loops and referral mechanisms.
- Define PQL (Product-Qualified Lead) criteria and build dashboards to measure progress.
Experimentation & Optimization
- Develop A/B tests to refine onboarding, messaging, and conversion flows.
- Translate user data into actionable insights — addressing friction points quickly.
- Establish frameworks for growth experimentation and structured reporting (AARRR, activation, usage depth, etc.).
Acquisition & Campaign Management
- Execute multi-channel digital campaigns across LinkedIn, email, and developer communities.
- Optimize paid and organic channels for cost-effective acquisition.
- Partner with analytics to build dashboards for tracking performance and attribution.
Growth Loops & Lifecycle Marketing
- Build retention systems and referral mechanics to increase organic adoption.
- Create automated lifecycle communications that nudge activation and upsell.
- Drive measurable outcomes from free-to-paid conversion.
Colleagues
You’ll work directly with internal and external stakeholders to bridge creative marketing with analytical problem-solving.
At Oceans, you’ll also receive guidance and support from our Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you’re continuously growing and developing in your career.
Skills & Qualifications
At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped individuals — those who bring deep expertise in one area, paired with broad curiosity and interests. As a Growth Marketer, your vertical focus will be in product-led growth strategy and experimentation, while your horizontal focus will include campaign execution, analytics, and lifecycle optimization.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience: 4–8 years in growth, product, or marketing roles — ideally in B2B SaaS environments.
- PLG Expertise: Proven success designing and executing PLG funnels and onboarding flows.
- Analytics Tools: Hands-on with Mixpanel, Amplitude, GA4, or similar tools.
- Campaign Management: Experience with LinkedIn, developer communities, and marketing automation (e.g., Marketo, Outreach).
- Frameworks: Familiarity with AARRR, growth loops, and PQL models.
- Technical Mindset: Comfort working with developers, APIs, and product data.
- Execution: Independent, fast-moving, and capable of iterating with minimal oversight.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English; clear, analytical, and action-oriented.
Bonus skills:
- Experience running conversion optimization or UX experiments.
- Familiarity with Salesforce or a developer tools ecosystem.
- Early-stage or startup growth experience.
- Prior experience setting up dashboards and defining growth KPIs from scratch.
Diversity of experience is core to Oceans. You are expected to work inclusively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, ensuring that both personal and collective dignity are supported.
During the interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in the following areas:
- Product-Led Growth: How you’ve built and optimized PLG motions in SaaS environments.
- Experimentation: Examples of A/B testing, funnel optimization, and data-driven decisions.
- Acquisition & Retention: How you’ve balanced campaigns, onboarding, and lifecycle strategies.
- Analytics: Your ability to identify bottlenecks through data and implement solutions.
- Autonomy: How you’ve taken ownership in fast-paced, unstructured environments.
Role Specifications
This is a remote role, where you will be expected to work a split shift with some overlap with our client’s time zone. You will, however, be expected to be present for in-person training programs during your first 90 days with us. During the offer process, we’ll share more information about our benefits and compensation philosophy, considering both market trends and individual factors.

With us, you’re not just doing a job—you’re redefining your career with opportunities designed to unlock your potential.
