Job Description
Real opportunities. Real impact. Your career, redefined.
(NOTE: A human reviews every application at Oceans, so please apply for only one position and only once a year—if you're a better fit for another role, we’ll route your application accordingly and if we’re not quite ready for you, we’ll reach back out later).
At Oceans, we help the best and brightest of Sri Lanka to take advantage of opportunities that otherwise wouldn’t be available to them, while supporting entrepreneurs around the world. Our community (we call them Divers) don’t do surface work—they go deep to solve complex challenges and make a real impact. And in doing so, they support bold ideas and expand their skills, broaden their expertise, and grow their careers, all without having to leave family and friends.
We’re hiring a Paid Media Buyer to partner with a fast-growing performance marketing agency that works with leading e-commerce brands across high-growth and highly regulated industries. You’ll manage multiple client accounts, develop and execute paid media strategies across platforms, and drive measurable performance outcomes through disciplined campaign management and optimization.
If you’re a data-driven strategist who thrives in fast-paced environments, manages multiple accounts with precision, and communicates with clarity, this opportunity is for you.
Accountability
As a Paid Media Buyer, your success will be defined by your ability to build, scale, and optimize paid media campaigns that deliver consistent ROI across multiple platforms. You’ll combine analytical rigor with creative problem-solving to drive growth for e-commerce clients.
Here’s how you’ll make an impact:
Campaign Strategy & Execution
- Manage 8–10 client accounts across platforms such as Meta (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, and TikTok.
- Develop, launch, and optimize high-spend performance campaigns ($5K–$100K+ monthly).
- Implement data-driven strategies that improve ROAS, CPA, CTR, CPM, and conversion rates.
- Conduct ongoing testing and scaling across audiences, creatives, and bidding strategies.
Performance Analysis & Reporting
- Analyze daily performance data to identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities.
- Build weekly and monthly client reports with actionable takeaways.
- Present findings confidently in client meetings and strategy sessions.
- Maintain detailed tracking through dashboards and attribution tools such as Triple Whale and Optimizer.
Client Communication & Collaboration
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients, delivering updates and recommendations.
- Collaborate with creative and account teams to ensure campaigns align with brand and business goals.
- Maintain transparent communication on performance, strategy shifts, and new opportunities.
Compliance & Process Management
- Ensure full compliance with advertising regulations in restricted industries.
- Follow structured workflows and SOPs for campaign setup, optimization, and reporting.
- Contribute to improving internal processes and best practices for scaling campaigns efficiently.
Colleagues
You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders to ensure client success and performance consistency.
At Oceans, you’ll also receive guidance and support from our Operations Manager, who will help you succeed in the role and ensure that you’re continuously growing and developing in your career.
Skills & Qualifications
At Oceans, we believe in T-shaped individuals — those who bring deep expertise in one area, paired with broad curiosity and interests. As a Paid Media Buyer, your vertical focus will be on managing, optimizing, and scaling paid campaigns across digital platforms. Your horizontal focus will include analytics, communication, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure sustainable growth and high client satisfaction.
To excel in this role, you should have:
- Experience: 2–5+ years of paid media buying experience, ideally in e-commerce or performance marketing.
- Platforms: Hands-on experience with Meta and Google Ads (required); TikTok or Applovin experience is a plus.
- Analytics: Strong command of campaign metrics (ROAS, CPA, CTR, CPM, AOV, MER, CAC, LTV).
- Tools: Familiarity with tracking and attribution tools (e.g., Triple Whale, AdPulse, Optimizer).
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal English; able to present insights clearly and confidently.
- Organization: Exceptional time-management skills; ability to juggle multiple accounts simultaneously.
- Mindset: Ownership mentality — proactive, responsive, and accountable in every client interaction
Bonus skills:
- Experience managing $50K+ monthly ad budgets.
- Background in agency environments or fast-paced client portfolios.
- Familiarity with AI-powered optimization tools and automation platforms.
- Experience working within ad policy or compliance-restricted industries
Diversity of experience is core to Oceans. You are expected to work inclusively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds, ensuring that both personal and collective dignity are supported.
During the interview process, you’ll have the opportunity to showcase your skills in the following areas:
- Campaign Optimization: How you manage and scale high-budget performance campaigns.
- Analytics & Reporting: How you translate data into clear, actionable insights for clients.
- Client Partnership: How you build trust and deliver results through proactive communication.
- Process Improvement: How you identify inefficiencies and drive operational improvements.
- Strategic Thinking: How you balance creative testing with performance metrics to achieve growth.
Role Specifications
This is a remote role, where you will be expected to work a split shift with some overlap with our client’s time zone. You will, however, be expected to be present for in-person training programs during your first 90 days with us. During the offer process, we’ll share more information about our benefits and compensation philosophy, considering both market trends and individual factors.

With us, you’re not just doing a job—you’re redefining your career with opportunities designed to unlock your potential.
