We’re hiring an SEO & Content Writer to partner with a performance-driven digital agency helping brands improve search visibility, authority, and lead generation. You’ll combine technical SEO, local SEO, and emerging Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies with powerful, high-quality content writing that drives measurable growth.

If you’re equal parts strategist and storyteller, comfortable with analytics, and excited about using AI tools like ChatGPT to elevate your writing, this role is designed for you.

Accountability

As an SEO & Content Writer, your success will be measured by your ability to audit, optimize, and elevate underperforming websites while creating content that ranks, engages, and converts. You’ll use your technical and creative strengths to shape strategies that drive sustained performance improvements.

Here’s how you’ll make an impact:

SEO Strategy & Execution

• Audit and optimize underperforming websites following technical SEO best practices.
• Improve site structure, crawlability, indexing, and on-page SEO to increase search visibility.
• Build and implement strategies to strengthen both local and national rankings.
• Apply Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies to improve visibility on AI-driven search platforms.
• Leverage Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and SEO tools (SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog) to identify issues and uncover opportunities.
  

Content Creation & Optimization

• Write and edit keyword-rich, engaging content optimized for both users and search engines.
• Use AI tools such as ChatGPT or Jasper to streamline content creation while maintaining originality and accuracy.
• Ensure all content adheres to U.S. English standards and is aligned with brand voice and conversion goals.
• Collaborate with SEO specialists on keyword research, on-page optimization, and internal linking structures.
  

Collaboration & Performance

• Partner with marketing and SEO teams on content planning and strategy.
• Track performance and continuously improve based on insights from engagement and conversion metrics.
• Contribute to building frameworks, processes, and playbooks that enhance the agency’s SEO delivery.

Colleagues

You’ll collaborate closely with internal stakeholders on content planning, keyword research, and on-page SEO improvements to deliver measurable improvements in visibility and performance.

Skills & Qualifications

As an SEO & Content Writer, your vertical focus will be on technical SEO and content creation, while your horizontal focus will include collaboration, analytics, and adaptability to emerging AI-driven search ecosystems.

To excel in this role, you should have:

• Experience: Proven track record in SEO and content writing, with a portfolio or case studies demonstrating measurable results.
• Technical SEO: Deep understanding of site structure, crawlability, indexing, and metadata optimization.
• Local SEO: Experience optimizing for “near me” searches and geo-targeted keywords.
• Tools: Proficiency with Google Analytics, Search Console, SEMrush, Ahrefs, or Screaming Frog.
• Content Skills: Strong ability to write engaging, keyword-rich, and user-focused copy in U.S. English.
• AI Familiarity: Experience using AI writing tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Jasper) to enhance efficiency and creativity.
• Mindset: Analytical, detail-oriented, and eager to experiment with new technologies and techniques.
  

Bonus skills:

• Knowledge of Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) strategies.
• Experience writing for multiple industries or diverse client profiles.
• Familiarity with conversion-focused writing and on-page UX principles.
• Understanding of link-building, schema markup, and structured data.

Role Specifications

This is a remote role, where you will be expected to work a split shift with some overlap with our client’s time zone. You will, however, be expected to be present for in-person training programs during your first 90 days with us.
