Accountabilities:

  • Design, develop, test, and deploy efficient data pipelines and database solutions aligned with organizational standards.
  • Build and maintain ETL processes to extract, transform, and load data from multiple sources.
  • Implement controls to ensure data quality, integrity, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor database performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize queries for maximum efficiency.
  • Automate recurring data operations and improve existing workflows through technology.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Participate in peer code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards.
  • Support production environments, manage schedules, and resolve data job failures as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Data Engineer, Database Developer, or Administrator.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on experience with Azure Synapse, PySpark, Spark SQL, notebooks, pipelines, and triggers.
  • Strong knowledge of database architecture, data warehousing, and data modeling principles.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver results in fast-paced environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail, with a focus on data quality and security.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams.
