This role is ideal for a data professional passionate about transforming raw information into actionable insights that drive meaningful decision-making. You will design and maintain data models, pipelines, and workflows to ensure accuracy, accessibility, and scalability across analytics platforms. Collaborating closely with cross-functional teams, you will define business logic, enhance data quality, and support advanced reporting and experimentation. Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain robust dbt data models that support analytical tools and internal reporting.
  • Develop and manage efficient data workflows and pipelines using Airflow for orchestration and automation.
  • Collaborate with Data, Product, and Engineering teams to define key metrics, ensure data consistency, and optimize data accessibility.
  • Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics-ready datasets, from ingestion to transformation and documentation.
  • Implement testing, monitoring, and alerting systems to guarantee data quality and reliability.
  • Translate business requirements into performant SQL queries and datasets for reporting and experimentation.
  • Maintain clear documentation to support data discoverability, lineage, and governance.
  • Work closely with leadership to support strategic initiatives and performance tracking.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with 4+ years of experience as a Data Engineer or in a similar analytics-focused role.
  • Proficiency in SQL and strong experience developing modular dbt models for analytics workflows.
  • Proven track record in building and managing Airflow pipelines and maintaining data infrastructure in fast-paced environments.
  • Interest or experience in leveraging AI, LLMs, and automation to enhance data-driven processes.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to thrive in a remote, agile team environment and adapt quickly to evolving priorities.
  • Bonus points for experience with Pyspark on Databricks, metrics layer design, or exposure to political, civic, or social impact work.
