This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Data & Analytics Engineer in Latin America.

This role offers the opportunity to play a key part in transforming educational outcomes through data-driven insights. You will work with multiple data systems to build, maintain, and optimize pipelines and dashboards that help schools understand student engagement and performance. The position combines data engineering, analytics, and visualization responsibilities, with a focus on accuracy, scalability, and actionable insights. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity, monitor system performance, and support strategic decisions. Additionally, you will explore opportunities to integrate new data sources and develop technical frameworks that enhance reporting capabilities. Your contributions will directly support mission-driven educational initiatives and the success of students across diverse schools.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines, ensuring integration between LMS, CRM, and data warehouse systems.
  • Build, optimize, and validate dashboards to track student engagement, attendance, and assessment performance.
  • Write and optimize SQL queries, create data models, and ensure accurate field mapping across data sources.
  • Monitor automated data refreshes and implement alerting systems for data accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze current data architectures, design proof-of-concepts for new integrations, and support migration roadmaps.
  • Translate complex educational data into clear, actionable insights for diverse audiences.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment, best practices, and timely delivery of analytics solutions.

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in SQL, including CTEs, window functions, and query optimization.
  • Hands-on experience with ETL/ELT pipelines, data modeling (star/snowflake schemas), and data warehousing (Snowflake preferred).
  • Experience with Python or R for data transformations, automation, and API integration.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker.
  • Knowledge of educational data systems (LMS, SIS, assessment platforms) and experience integrating them via REST or GraphQL APIs.
  • Strong understanding of FERPA, data privacy, and secure credential management.
  • Ability to translate complex datasets into actionable metrics and communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience designing monitoring and alerting systems for data accuracy, freshness, and anomalies.
  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable working in remote, cross-functional teams.
