This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Android Engineer - P3 - Security & Identity in the United States.
In this role, you will contribute to the development of secure and high-performing Android applications focused on authentication, identity, and security. You will take part in the full software development lifecycle, from concept to delivery, ensuring robust, maintainable, and scalable solutions. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, you will help build SDKs and APIs used globally, driving technical excellence and improving the reliability, security, and efficiency of the platform. Accountabilities
· Design, implement, and optimize highly scalable Android applications and SDKs for security and identity solutions.
· Collaborate with product, design, and infrastructure teams to deliver end-to-end solutions that meet user needs.
· Contribute to architectural decisions and technical roadmaps, influencing the evolution of the security and identity platform.
· Improve system reliability, scalability, and efficiency through best practices, monitoring, and observability.
· Drive operational excellence, including automated testing, deployment pipelines, and performance optimization.
· Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
Requirements
· 4+ years of professional Android development experience with production-level applications and SDKs.
· Fluent in Kotlin, with strong experience in Java and familiarity with the Android development ecosystem, frameworks, and libraries.
· Proficient in the full mobile development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.
· Experience working with cloud-based infrastructure, preferably AWS.
· Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices, maintainable system design, and observability.
· Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience.
· Ability to work independently, manage conflicts, and handle complex technical challenges effectively.
Preferred Skills:
· Experience developing SDKs or libraries for other developers.
· Knowledge of iOS development and cross-platform considerations.
· Familiarity with modern verification techniques such as SMS/voice verification, biometrics, and TOTP.
· Experience working in geographically distributed teams.
