We’re looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join our Growth Engineering team, responsible for building systems and experiences that drive user acquisition, retention, monetization, and international expansion. This role is perfect for an engineer who enjoys architecting solutions that impact millions of users while working in a fast-paced, experimentation-driven environment. You’ll collaborate closely with Product, Design, AI, and Data teams to deliver innovative growth-focused features and experiments.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect for Growth: Design and evolve scalable systems powering key growth surfaces — from onboarding and lifecycle retention to payments and monetization.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Design, AI, and Marketing teams to turn growth hypotheses into measurable, impactful user experiences.
• Monetization & Payments: Build and optimize global payment infrastructures supporting subscriptions, credits, and marketplace integrations (e.g., Stripe, Razorpay, Adyen, Chargebee, AWS Marketplace).
• AI-Driven Journeys: Partner with AI and Data teams to design intelligent onboarding companions, contextual assistants, and personalized cross-sell systems leveraging LLMs and user intent models.
• Retention & Lifecycle Systems: Develop event-driven platforms for churn prediction, reactivation, and user habit formation through product and marketing signals.
• International Expansion: Engineer solutions for localization, regional pricing, affiliate tracking, and lifecycle marketing to scale globally across new regions.
• Platform Ownership: Lead technical ownership of shared systems such as Authentication, Legal & Compliance automation, Customer Success tools, and third-party integrations.
• Technical Leadership: Drive architectural reviews, mentor engineers, and uphold standards of reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Strategic Alignment: Collaborate with Product and Data Science to shape the growth roadmap, aligning technical innovation with user engagement and business impact.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience building and scaling distributed systems and large-scale web applications.
• Proven experience with React, Node.js, and TypeScript, along with strong knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks.
• 3+ years of architectural or technical leadership in designing modular, service-oriented, and event-driven systems.
• Solid understanding of growth funnels, experimentation frameworks, and data-driven product optimization.
• Experience with global payment and monetization systems (subscriptions, credits, payment gateways).
• Strong data literacy — comfortable with growth analytics tools and data warehouse ecosystems (BigQuery, Snowflake, Amplitude, etc.).
• Familiarity with AI-powered products and understanding of how LLM-driven features enhance user engagement.
• Expertise with cloud infrastructure (AWS / GCP), containerization, observability, caching, and database performance.
• Excellent collaboration skills with cross-functional teams in a growth-oriented, agile environment.
• Passion for experimentation, scalable design, and driving measurable business outcomes through engineering excellence.
