We are seeking mathematically rigorous evaluators to contribute to an initiative focused on formal proof assessment and data quality assurance.

In this role, you will review, analyze, and score advanced mathematical proofs, ensuring precision, logical soundness, and clarity across Olympiad-level problem types. This position is ideal for individuals with a strong foundation in mathematical reasoning, meticulous attention to detail, and a passion for improving intelligent reasoning systems.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate formal mathematical proofs in Geometry, Combinatorics, Number Theory, and Algebra.
  • Assign accuracy and correctness scores to submitted proofs.
  • Identify logical or reasoning errors and clearly explain the cause of failure where applicable.
  • Maintain consistency, precision, and traceability across all evaluations.
  • Support data quality and documentation efforts, providing structured feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Adhere to all confidentiality and data handling protocols, including post-project data deletion.

Minimum Requirements

  • BS or higher in Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience with proof-based problem solving (e.g., USAMO, Putnam, IMO, or equivalent).
  • Strong understanding of formal reasoning and mathematical logic.
  • Prior experience in evaluating, grading, or writing mathematical proofs.
  • Exceptional written communication and analytical accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines consistently.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in mathematical data annotation, AI reasoning evaluation, or educational content QA.
  • Familiarity with proof verification systems (e.g., Lean, Coq, Isabelle) or symbolic computation tools.
  • Background in academic competition problem creation or evaluation.
  • Understanding of structured QA workflows and calibration methods.
  • Ability to provide clear and concise technical feedback on mathematical content.

Role Details

  • Location: Remote, asynchronous work
  • Schedule: Flexible hours
  • Commitment: Approximately 20 hours per week

Compensation

  • Type: Contract position
  • Rate: $52.50 per hour (based on experience and quality of work)
  • Payments: Processed weekly via Stripe Connect
