In this role, you will lead the design and development of high-scale data infrastructure to support advertising products, enabling teams to derive actionable insights from vast datasets. You will architect and maintain complex ETL pipelines, create analytical frameworks, and implement monitoring systems to ensure data quality and reliability. Collaborating closely with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams, you will translate business and technical requirements into scalable, maintainable solutions. This position also involves mentoring engineers, driving technical strategy, and leading cross-functional initiatives that transform advertising systems. Your work will directly impact revenue and user experience, while providing opportunities to tackle large-scale, challenging data engineering problems.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, build, and maintain enterprise-scale data pipelines and foundational datasets to support advertising products.
  • Implement ETL processes, data models, and analytical frameworks using SQL, Python, and modern data technologies.
  • Develop data quality monitoring systems, automated anomaly detection, and alerting infrastructure for massive datasets.
  • Collaborate with data scientists, ML engineers, and product teams to implement their requirements into scalable solutions.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives addressing complex data engineering challenges and transform advertising products.
  • Create dashboards and reports to enable data-driven decision-making across teams and leadership.
  • Mentor and guide engineers through pair programming, code reviews, and collaborative problem-solving.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on experience designing, coding, and maintaining complex data models and pipelines in high-volume advertising or marketing technology domains.
  • Expert-level proficiency in SQL, Python, and modern data engineering frameworks.
  • Strong experience with digital advertising data engineering, including ad serving, conversion tracking, and integrating third-party data sources.
  • Proven ability to implement data quality audits, monitoring systems, and automated remediation for massive datasets (billions+ rows).
  • Experience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership in collaborative environments.
  • Strong technical communication skills with the ability to explain complex implementations to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities and a collaborative mindset with a commitment to technical excellence.

Bonus Skills:

  • Hands-on experience with modern data storage and processing technologies (BigQuery, Airflow, Dagster, DBT, or similar).
  • Experience with data visualization and dashboarding tools (Looker, Tableau, or similar).
  • Knowledge of integrating APIs and third-party advertising platforms.
  • Background in experimentation frameworks and designing data architectures for diverse use cases.
  • Passion for gaming or advertising technology.
