We are seeking a highly skilled Sr/Staff Data Scientist to lead advanced analytics and AI initiatives that transform large, complex datasets into actionable business insights. In this fully remote role, you will collaborate across teams to design, develop, and deploy machine learning models, optimization algorithms, and AI-driven solutions that drive strategic decision-making. You will also mentor other data scientists, oversee the implementation of analytic solutions into production systems, and stay ahead of emerging trends in AI, machine learning, and large language models. Accountabilities:

  • Lead cross-functional collaboration to define analytic initiatives, formulate strategies, and develop data-driven solutions.
  • Analyze large, complex datasets to identify patterns, generate insights, and support business decisions.
  • Develop, deploy, and monitor advanced machine learning models for forecasting, optimization, and workflow improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into actionable insights and solutions.
  • Design and deliver clear visualizations and reports that effectively communicate analytical findings.
  • Maintain and enhance data pipelines to ensure high-quality and accurate data.
  • Mentor and guide other data scientists, promoting best practices in modeling, coding, and analysis.
  • Implement solutions into reporting platforms or production systems, overseeing development, testing, and monitoring.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of experience building optimization algorithms or in a similar data science role.
  • Advanced proficiency in Python, R, SQL, and Java for data analysis, modeling, and software development.
  • Strong experience with machine learning, statistical analysis, and data visualization tools.
  • Knowledge of LLM architecture (e.g., transformers, attention mechanisms) and experience with prompt engineering, RAG, embeddings, model fine-tuning, and GPU optimization.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data science platforms and integration into enterprise solutions.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, intellectual curiosity, and ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment.
  • Strong communication skills to effectively present technical concepts to diverse audiences.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s or higher in Operations Research, Computer Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field; Ph.D. is a plus. Experience in logistics, transportation, or high-tech sectors is a bonus. Knowledge of geospatial analytics, route optimization, and Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe) is preferred.
