Sr Network Engineer (Carrier Networking)

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled network engineer to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of large-scale, carrier-grade networking solutions. This role involves working with cutting-edge IP/MPLS and optical technologies from leading vendors such as Cisco, Ciena, Arista, Nokia, and Juniper. You will play a key role in architecting and troubleshooting high-performance network infrastructures, mentoring junior engineers, and driving innovation across complex, multi-vendor environments. The position requires technical leadership, strong analytical skills, and the ability to collaborate with both internal teams and clients to deliver best-in-class networking solutions.

Accountabilities:

·         Design, implement, and maintain high-performance carrier and enterprise network solutions across core, edge, and DCI topologies.

·         Provide hands-on engineering and troubleshooting expertise across multi-vendor routing and optical platforms, including Cisco ASR/NCS, Juniper MX/PTX, Nokia 7750, and Ciena 6500.

·         Collaborate with architects, sales teams, and clients to define and deliver solutions aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.

·         Lead proof-of-concepts, lab testing, and on-site or remote implementations of complex infrastructure rollouts.

·         Integrate programmable network solutions and automation using tools such as Python, Ansible, Netconf, and gRPC.

·         Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of continuous learning and collaboration.

·         Maintain deep vendor relationships and stay current on new features and product roadmaps.

·         Participate in on-call rotations and provide after-hours project or support coverage as needed.

·         Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline preferred).

·         Minimum 5 years of experience in carrier-grade or large enterprise network engineering.

·         Proven expertise in IP/MPLS, BGP, OSPF/ISIS, Segment Routing, QoS, and optical transport technologies (DWDM, ROADM, coherent optics).

·         Advanced knowledge of routing and optical platforms from Cisco, Ciena, Arista, Nokia, and Juniper.

·         Industry certifications preferred (Cisco CCNP/CCIE, Juniper JNCIP, Nokia NRS, Ciena Optical Professional, Arista ACE/NSE).

·         Experience with scripting and automation (Python, Ansible) highly desirable.

·         Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

·         Willingness to travel up to 30% and provide periodic support during non-business hours.
