Software Engineer, Managed Search (Remote - US)

We are seeking a Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain a high-performance managed search platform. In this role, you will be responsible for architecting scalable backend services, implementing robust APIs, and ensuring reliability for enterprise-grade applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners and QA, to deliver innovative solutions from conception to deployment. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex, large-scale projects that directly impact platform performance and customer satisfaction. You will also contribute to automation, deployment optimizations, and system reliability enhancements.

Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations to ensure high availability, scalability, and performance.
• Architect and implement solutions for enterprise-level use cases and strategic partners.
• Optimize deployment and provisioning workflows through automation to improve operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot complex production issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing corrective measures.
• Collaborate with product managers, QA, and engineering teams to deliver high-quality features.
• Contribute to code quality, documentation, and adoption of best practices across the engineering team.

• Strong backend development experience with Python.
• Proficiency in JavaScript and Node.js, with experience in building APIs (REST, GraphQL).
• Familiarity with Django framework and related technologies is a plus.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases.
• Exposure to search platforms such as Solr or Elasticsearch is advantageous.
• Solid understanding of cloud infrastructure and services, preferably AWS.
• Proven ability to solve complex production issues and improve system performance.
• Experience working collaboratively in a team environment to deliver commercial-grade applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills, self-motivation, and ability to quickly learn new technologies.
