We are seeking a talented Software Engineer with a focus on front-end development to help build and enhance innovative educational products. In this fully remote role, you will collaborate with designers, product owners, and fellow engineers to develop high-quality, performant, and user-friendly applications. You will play a key part in maintaining software reliability, contributing to code quality, and implementing best practices while continuously improving and scaling features. Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and maintain front-end software applications.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following current development standards and best practices.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure maintainability, readability, and performance of applications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and prevent software incidents or bugs while providing timely resolutions.
- Continuously improve and maintain existing software and contribute to the overall product architecture.
- Support team knowledge sharing and communication by documenting processes and providing feedback.
- Work closely with designers to ensure accessibility and a high-quality user experience.
Requirements
- 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, with a focus on front-end development.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and frameworks like React (Next.js experience is a bonus).
- Experience with HTML, CSS, and modern front-end development practices.
- Familiarity with back-end technologies such as Golang, Python, Django, and relational databases (PostgreSQL a plus).
- Knowledge of cloud hosting services and CI/CD pipelines (Heroku, Google Cloud, Vercel experience is a bonus).
- Experience writing automated unit and integration tests.
- Strong teamwork, communication skills, and ability to work effectively in a fully remote environment.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards and design tools such as Figma is preferred.
