In this role, you will help design, build, and maintain highly reliable and scalable cloud-based systems that power mission-critical applications. You’ll work at the intersection of software development and infrastructure, ensuring seamless performance, security, and automation across all environments. You’ll drive continuous improvement initiatives, automate manual processes, and promote a culture of reliability and operational excellence. This position is ideal for an engineer who thrives in fast-paced environments, enjoys solving complex challenges, and is passionate about empowering teams through efficient DevOps and SRE practices.

Accountabilities

  • Enhance the reliability, stability, and performance of enterprise-level solutions through software engineering and automation.
  • Identify and implement improvements to eliminate manual processes, reduce operational toil, and strengthen system resilience.
  • Participate in on-call rotations, incident management, and post-incident reviews to ensure proactive problem-solving.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams—developers, architects, and operations—to maintain and exceed service-level objectives (SLOs).
  • Implement observability tools and telemetry to monitor application health and performance.
  • Lead efforts in automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code to streamline application delivery.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across environments, ensuring high availability and optimal performance.
  • Advocate for reliability-focused practices and promote knowledge sharing across the engineering organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 5 years of software engineering experience, with expertise in at least two programming languages (e.g. Python, Java, C#, Go).
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred, AWS or GCP also valued).
  • Proficiency in automation, scripting, and configuration management (PowerShell, Bash, Terraform).
  • Strong knowledge of observability tools such as Datadog, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred), Kubernetes, and containerized microservices.
  • Understanding of security and compliance principles in cloud environments.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Microsoft Azure certifications and experience with Terraform Enterprise, Azure Kubernetes Service, Istio, and .NET 6.
