Senior Software Architect (Ecommerce) - Remote

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Architect to lead the end-to-end design, development, and scaling of robust full-stack ecommerce applications. In this role, you will architect solutions that ensure performance, scalability, and maintainability while driving innovation in a fast-growing, product-focused environment. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, guide technical decisions, and mentor engineers to elevate overall engineering excellence. The role demands a hands-on approach to coding, system design, and API/database development while maintaining alignment with business goals. You will influence technical direction, evaluate emerging technologies, and implement best practices across all layers of the software stack. Accountabilities:

·        Lead the design and architecture of scalable, high-performance software systems for ecommerce applications.

·        Architect and implement both front-end and back-end solutions, ensuring seamless integration and performance.

·        Design, optimize, and maintain SQL and NoSQL databases for high-volume applications.

·        Develop and manage well-structured RESTful APIs to support internal and external services.

·        Write high-quality, maintainable code, conduct code reviews, and enforce engineering best practices.

·        Guide and mentor engineers, facilitate technical discussions, and drive team alignment on architectural decisions.

·        Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business objectives into technical solutions and evaluate emerging technologies for adoption.

·        Minimum 10 years of professional experience in software development.

·        Current or recent role as a Software Architect or equivalent in a product-based company.

·        Strong expertise in front-end technologies such as ReactJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and back-end development using NodeJS, Java, Go, or Python.

·        Proven experience in designing scalable systems, software architecture, design patterns, and system optimization.

·        Hands-on experience building and scaling APIs and databases (SQL and NoSQL).

·        Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.

·        Comfortable working in IST with overlapping hours for US time zones.

·        Passionate about hands-on coding and building software, rather than purely managerial responsibilities.
