Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Ruby on Rails applications for the healthcare industry.
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver user-friendly and effective solutions.
  • Ensure code quality and maintainability through code reviews, testing, and best practices.
  • Identify and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks in existing applications.
  • Mentor and support junior developers, sharing knowledge and promoting team growth.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to foster innovation within the team.
  • Participate in Agile development processes, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

Requirements

  • Must be located in the United States of America and be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with verified U.S. government issued ID.
  • Proven experience as a Ruby on Rails developer, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
  • Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and design patterns.
  • Experience with frontend technologies such as Hotwire, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integration with third-party services.
  • Knowledge of database systems, particularly PostgreSQL.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and optimize applications for performance and scalability.
  • Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
