This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer in the United States.

This role is tailored for an experienced developer who specializes in healthcare data interoperability and large-scale API integrations. You will design, implement, and maintain robust FHIR-based solutions that meet regulatory standards, while collaborating closely with project teams and technical stakeholders. This position requires a strong background in Java, Spring Boot, and modern cloud-native architectures, alongside hands-on experience with CI/CD, Kubernetes, and event-driven pipelines. The role also involves mentoring junior developers, reviewing code, and ensuring that all deployments meet both performance and compliance expectations. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the advancement of scalable, compliant healthcare solutions in a fast-paced, highly collaborative environment.

Accountabilities:

·         Develop backend services, integrations, and adapters using Java, Spring Boot, and Apache Camel to meet healthcare interoperability requirements.

·         Implement FHIR R4+/SMART on FHIR APIs according to US Core and relevant Implementation Guides, ensuring full terminology compliance (LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm, ValueSets).

·         Participate in client meetings, demos, and technical escalations, communicating complex concepts clearly.

·         Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code with strong unit and integration coverage; engage in detailed peer code reviews.

·         Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab, manage Helm deployments on Kubernetes, and troubleshoot service performance issues.

·         Integrate and scale data pipelines using Kafka or equivalent messaging systems and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MS SQL).

·         Mentor and guide junior developers, promote best practices in software design, automation, and maintainability.

·         Ensure accurate tracking of working hours and proper utilization of project management tools for delivery accountability.

Requirements

·         8+ years of professional software development experience, including 5+ years in Java/Spring Boot.

·         Proven track record delivering FHIR/SMART on FHIR integrations in production environments.

·         Strong understanding of US Core, FHIR Implementation Guides, and healthcare terminologies (LOINC, SNOMED CT, RxNorm, ValueSets).

·         Experience working in professional services or healthcare delivery teams.

·         Hands-on experience with GitLab CI/CD, Kubernetes/Helm, Kafka, and relational databases (PostgreSQL/MS SQL).

·         Excellent communication skills and ability to work directly with customers.

·         Highly organized, accountable, and capable of managing multiple priorities concurrently.

·         Preferred: Experience with Smile CDR or HAPI FHIR, HL7 v2/CDA, CMS interoperability mandates, authoring FHIR IGs, and AWS/Azure cloud environments with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform).
