Senior Electrical Designer - Remote

As a remote Senior Electrical Designer, you will play a key role in the design and documentation of lighting, power, and electrical systems for a variety of projects. You will serve as a technical resource within the firm, producing accurate, code-compliant construction documents while mentoring junior staff. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong attention to detail, and is confident in developing coordinated project documents with limited oversight.

Key Responsibilities

Design Leadership & Technical Expertise

• Develop accurate, efficient, and code-compliant designs for lighting, power, and electrical systems.
• Break down complex systems into understandable components for project teams.
• Perform facility assessments, site verifications, and quality assurance reviews.
• Excel in areas of expertise while fostering innovation and best practices.

Project Documentation & Coordination

• Create and review complete drawing sets in Revit and AutoCAD, including model setup, sheet creation, and coordination with other disciplines.
• Ensure compliance with internal standards and applicable codes.
• Utilize industry and company software (Outlook, Excel, BlueBeam, AutoCAD, Revit, Word, AGI 32, and LiquidPlanner) to complete tasks accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain organized documentation throughout all phases of design and construction.

Mentorship & Team Engagement

• Provide guidance and oversight to junior designers to support their technical development.
• Model professionalism, reliability, and accountability within project teams.
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, project partners, and other disciplines.

Professional Engagement

• Authorization to work in the U.S.
• Associate’s degree in Electrical Design or similar
• 8+ years of relevant electrical design and project management experience
• Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
