Senior Backend Engineer (Remote - US)

This role provides the opportunity to work at the forefront of decentralized finance, contributing to a high-performance stablecoin platform used by developers and businesses worldwide. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will design, develop, and deploy scalable, secure, and highly available backend systems for on-chain finance and cross-chain liquidity management. You will collaborate closely with engineers, blockchain specialists, and finance experts to shape the technical strategy and ensure robust system architecture. Mentorship, engineering excellence, and proactive problem-solving are central to this position, which offers a flexible, remote-first work environment with global collaboration.

Accountabilities

·         Design and develop automated on-chain minting and cross-chain stablecoin liquidity management systems.

·         Deploy and maintain backend applications ensuring security, compliance, and high availability with monitoring and alerting systems.

·         Promote engineering best practices and agile workflows to deliver projects on time and within scope.

·         Mentor mid-level engineers, conduct code reviews, and foster knowledge sharing across the team.

·         Collaborate cross-functionally with finance experts, blockchain specialists, and product designers to deliver scalable solutions.

·         Ensure robust, low-latency user experiences while maintaining operational reliability and compliance standards.

·         7+ years of professional experience in software engineering with strong proficiency in TypeScript and/or Rust.

·         Advanced backend development skills with experience building scalable RESTful and GraphQL APIs.

·         Practical experience deploying and managing applications on multi-region cloud platforms, including CI/CD and containerization tools such as Docker and Kubernetes.

·         Familiarity with smart contract development for EVM-compatible chains; knowledge of non-EVM chains (Solana, Sui) is a plus.

·         Direct experience with DeFi applications (lending, derivatives, AMMs, stablecoins) and implementing complex on-chain financial logic.

·         High autonomy, proactive problem-solving mindset, and excellent written and verbal communication skills.

·         Nice-to-have: experience with Fireblocks API or similar blockchain infrastructure tools.
