We’re looking for a Sales Account Executive, Away From Home (West) to help grow Magic Spoon’s footprint across convenience, foodservice, and other AFH channels in the Western U.S.! You’ll manage regional key accounts and distributor relationships, drive sales growth, and bring our better-for-you snacks to new customers everywhere people snack and eat on the go.

Ideally you combine strategic thinking with scrappy execution, data-driven decision-making, and the hustle it takes to make Magic Spoon a staple wherever cereal lovers roam. 

While this role is remote, candidates should be based in Central or West regions to align with required travel (with the expectation to visit the Tribeca NY office at least twice a year). 

Responsibilities:

  • Manage regional key accounts across convenience, foodservice, and other AFH channels, including direct and distributor-managed customers
  • Execute account-level business plans to achieve volume, distribution, and profitability goals
  • Nurture relationships with key decision-makers, brokers, and distributor partners to drive growth and visibility for Magic Spoon’s portfolio
  • Utilize data and insights to drive strategic recommendations around assortment, merchandising, and performance optimization.
  • Assist with forecasting, trade programs, customer P&L
  • Identify new distribution opportunities within the West Coast region to expand Magic Spoon’s reach and brand presence.
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Marketing, Supply, Ops, Finance) to ensure internal alignment 
  • Manage regional distributor networks, ensuring optimal inventory levels, forecasting accuracy, and trade spend efficiency.
  • Track performance metrics, delivering regular updates on key account results, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Represent Magic Spoon at regional trade shows, distributor events, and customer meetings to promote brand visibility and engagement.

Requirements

  • Results driven with a high sense of urgency 
  • Strategic and analytical thinker with strong executional discipline.
  • Highly organized and comfortable managing multiple priorities.
  • Convenience retail or Foodservice experience
  • 2-5+ years of progressive sales experience in CPG; experience within convenience, foodservice, military, or other AFH channels strongly preferred.
  • Success managing regional or national accounts with measurable sales growth.
  • Experience working with distributor-managed models, including UNFI, Core-Mark, or McLane.
  • Understanding of route-to-market strategy, trade marketing, and category management principles.
  • Relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred.
  • Travel Requirement: 50%+
