We are seeking an experienced and strategic Project Director to oversee large, complex, multi-disciplinary projects from planning through delivery. This role provides leadership across design, procurement, construction/installation, and program launch, balancing creative opportunities with operational rigor. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and executives to align project strategies with organizational goals, manage risks, monitor budgets, and ensure schedules are met. The ideal candidate thrives in fast-paced, dynamic environments, inspires high-performing teams, and is skilled at navigating complex projects while maintaining creative vision and quality standards. This position requires significant travel during construction and installation phases and offers the opportunity to make a visible impact on innovative, experiential projects.

Accountabilities:

·         Lead large, multi-disciplinary projects through all phases: design, procurement, construction, installation, programming, opening, and close-out.

·         Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and resource allocation in consultation with leadership and project controls.

·         Act as primary liaison to executives, internal stakeholders, and external partners, providing regular updates and escalating risks as needed.

·         Translate strategic objectives into actionable project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.

·         Mentor and develop project managers, fostering high-performing teams and a culture of accountability and creative excellence.

·         Implement project management best practices, continuous improvement processes, and innovative tools to enhance project delivery.

·         Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational standards, including audits, quality assurance, and risk mitigation strategies.

·         Evaluate post-project outcomes and recommend or implement changes to improve delivery methodologies and efficiency.

·         Bachelor’s degree (B.S./B.A.) or equivalent combination of education and experience.

·         20+ years of experience in development, design, and construction management within hospitality, entertainment, or themed environments.

·         15+ years supervising and managing project management professionals.

·         Deep understanding of project management methodologies, risk management, and creative project delivery.

·         Proven ability to lead large, complex projects while anticipating changes and resolving issues proactively.

·         Excellent interpersonal, written, oral, organizational, and creative thinking skills.

·         Proficiency in project tools such as P6, Planera, Autodesk Construction Cloud - Build, AirTable, Google Suite, and Gantt charts.

·         Willingness and ability to travel extensively (up to 30%+) during construction and installation phases.

·         Strong leadership skills with experience building and motivating high-performing teams.
