This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Principal DevOps Engineer in the United States.
This is an exciting opportunity for a senior DevOps professional to lead cloud automation and infrastructure innovation within a fast-growing global technology environment. You’ll architect and maintain scalable, secure, and cost-efficient systems while driving operational excellence across CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters, and Azure-based platforms. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical leadership, a passion for automation, and a collaborative mindset to guide cross-functional teams. You’ll play a key role in enhancing reliability, performance, and security while mentoring engineers and shaping DevOps strategy. This is a high-impact role in a fast-paced, results-driven culture that values innovation, ownership, and continuous improvement.
Accountabilities:
· Design, implement, and maintain global, highly available cloud architectures aligned with business objectives and industry best practices.
· Manage CI/CD pipelines for seamless code integration, automated testing, deployment, and monitoring (GitHub Actions).
· Administer and optimize Kubernetes (AKS), Helm, Docker, and Azure cloud services for scalability and performance.
· Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent IaC tools.
· Establish best practices for observability, alerting, and performance monitoring with Prometheus, Grafana, and related technologies.
· Lead cross-functional collaboration to identify DevOps needs and deliver innovative solutions that enhance developer velocity.
· Ensure compliance with standards such as SOC2 and ISO 27001, integrating audit requirements into infrastructure processes.
· Provide escalation support for technical issues, coach team members on DevOps best practices, and stay updated on emerging tools and methodologies.
Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred).
· 10+ years of DevOps or related experience, including 5+ years in architecture or technical leadership roles.
· Proven expertise with Microsoft Azure stack and services, particularly Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
· Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and IaC (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
· Strong understanding of networking, cloud security, and compliance in distributed systems.
· Track record in transforming monolithic systems into scalable, multi-region architectures.
· Proficiency in scripting and automation (Python, Bash, Go, or similar).
· Excellent communication, documentation, and problem-solving skills with a proactive, collaborative attitude.
· Preferred certifications: Azure, CCNP/CCIE (Data Center or Cloud), ITIL Foundation.
