Mechanical Engineer - Fire Sprinkler Designer/Estimator

RemoteVA PH is hiring a Mechanical Engineer with specialization in Fire Sprinkler Design and Estimation to join our remote team. You will be working closely with clients and internal teams to design and estimate fire protection systems for various commercial and residential projects, primarily in New York City.

Key Responsibilities

-Prepare fire sprinkler system designs using AutoCAD, Revit, and MEP software.

-Estimate project costs and prepare take-offs using Planswift and Excel.

-Ensure designs meet New York City Building Codes and applicable standards (NFPA, etc.).

-Review architectural and mechanical plans to develop system layouts.

-Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients remotely.

-Use Fire Elite or equivalent software for hydraulic calculations and system optimization.

Required Skills and Tools

-Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Planswift, Excel, and Fire Elite.

-Knowledge of MEP design tools.

-Strong familiarity with New York City Building Codes.

-Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

-Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

-At least 2 years of experience in fire sprinkler design and estimation.
