Kitchen Layout Drafter

RemoteVA is seeking a Kitchen Layout Drafter with experience in designing and detailing kitchen layouts based on architectural floor plans. The ideal candidate is proficient in using 2020 Design or similar design programs such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Lumion, and has a strong eye for detail and space planning.

This role involves interpreting architectural drawings, producing accurate kitchen layouts, and generating cabinet takeoffs and unit counts.

Key Responsibilities

-Create kitchen layout drawings using 2020 Design or equivalent software.

-Interpret architectural floor plans and translate them into functional and aesthetic kitchen designs.

-Prepare cabinet takeoffs and unit counts from project drawings.

-Collaborate with project teams to ensure designs meet specifications and standards.

-Maintain organized records of layouts, measurements, and revisions.

-Prepare detailed reports or spreadsheets using Excel for project documentation.

Qualifications

-Proven experience in kitchen design drafting or similar interior layout work.

-Proficiency in 2020 Design or equivalent design software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion).

-Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings.

-Strong knowledge of cabinetry, measurements, and materials.

-Excellent attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.

-Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets for data recording and takeoffs.

-Strong communication and time management skills.
