Legal Expert

This role is for one of the Weekday's clients

We are seeking experienced Legal professionals to collaborate with a leading AI research lab on an innovative project. The role involves enhancing advanced AI systems by designing legal questions, evaluating AI-generated responses, and solving domain-specific legal problems. This initiative is central to improving AI’s understanding and performance in the legal domain.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and review high-quality legal questions and evaluation sets
• Assess AI-generated legal responses for accuracy, clarity, and quality of reasoning
• Solve complex legal problems to benchmark AI system performance
• Synthesize legal information from multiple sources into structured formats
• Provide detailed feedback to guide AI alignment with legal standards

Ideal Qualifications

• Advanced legal education or credentials (LL.M., J.D., S.J.D., or Ph.D. in Law) from a top university, preferably in the United States
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information from diverse legal sources
• Exceptional written communication skills and attention to detail
• Preferred but not required: prior experience practicing law or working in the legal industry
• Location: Must be based in the US, UK, Canada, or Australia

Project Timeline

• Start Date: Immediate
• Duration: 4 weeks
• Commitment: Part-time, 20+ hours/week
• Schedule: Fully remote and asynchronous – work on your own schedule

Compensation & Contract

• Competitive hourly rate: $90–$110 USD/hr (based on experience)
• Weekly performance bonuses: $20–$100/hr in addition to base pay
• Independent contractor role
