This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an IT Data Warehouse Engineer in the United States.

We are seeking an IT Data Warehouse Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable data warehouse solutions that empower enterprise-wide analytics and business intelligence. In this role, you will collaborate with architects, analysts, and stakeholders to develop robust data pipelines, optimize data storage, and ensure high performance for reporting and analytical platforms. You will be responsible for integrating diverse data sources, modeling enterprise data, and implementing best practices in governance, quality, and security. This position offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic, data-driven environment, contributing directly to the organization’s strategic decisions through actionable insights and reliable data infrastructure.

Accountabilities:

  • Collaborate with Solutions and Data Infrastructure Architects, end users, and stakeholders to design effective data warehouse solutions.
  • Develop and maintain scalable data pipelines and workflows to extract, transform, and load (ETL/ELT) data from various internal and external sources.
  • Architect and optimize enterprise data warehouses, applying best practices in data modeling, performance tuning, and scalability.
  • Ensure data governance, quality, security, and compliance through cataloging, lineage, and stewardship.
  • Create and maintain database file/table definitions for new or updated data structures.
  • Optimize data warehouse performance through indexing, partitioning, and query tuning.
  • Conduct data analysis to solve business problems and communicate results to stakeholders.
  • Ensure data consistency, integrity, and proper network infrastructure for access and processing.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • 5–8 years of professional experience in data warehousing, ETL/ELT development, or related roles.
  • Strong proficiency in data warehousing technologies, ETL tools, SQL databases, and data modeling techniques.
  • Programming experience in SQL, Python, and/or Java.
  • Experience with business and technical requirements analysis, elicitation, modeling, and methodology development.
  • Excellent communication skills for collaborating with management and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Hands-on experience with Microsoft/Azure stack: Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory (ADF), Azure Databricks, Azure SQL, Azure Data Lake.
  • Demonstrated experience in systems design, development, and optimization.
  • Strong interpersonal and consultative skills with the ability to present complex ideas clearly.
  • Business acumen and knowledge of emerging technologies, standards, and industry trends.
