This role offers a unique opportunity to safeguard mission-critical defense systems through advanced cybersecurity and risk management practices. The Information System Security Manager will play a vital role in maintaining the security posture of classified systems, ensuring compliance with DoD and NAVSEA directives, and leading certification and accreditation activities. You will collaborate with program managers, engineers, and cybersecurity professionals to develop and maintain secure information systems while contributing to long-term strategic security goals. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about system protection, defense compliance, and continuous security improvement in high-impact environments.

Accountabilities:

  • Support government program managers in meeting all certification and accreditation requirements.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive RMF Authorization and Accreditation (A&A) documentation for systems.
  • Conduct annual security reviews, vulnerability assessments, and RMF control testing to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Manage Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management (IAVM) processes to maintain robust system defenses.
  • Prepare detailed documentation including Security Plans, POA&Ms, SAPs, SARs, and Risk Assessment Reports.
  • Initiate and maintain Security Plan (SP) content within eMASS, ensuring alignment with program objectives.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to uphold the system’s security posture throughout its lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree from an accredited institution or CNSSI 4011 Certificate or completion of military training (CIN J-3B-0440 IP BASIC or equivalent).
  • Minimum of 1 year of specialized experience in CSWF Specialty Area 46 (Systems Security Analysis).
  • Active IAT Level I or higher certification (A+ CE, CCNA-Security, CND, Network+CE, or SSCP).
  • U.S. Citizenship and an active government security clearance are required.
  • Strong understanding of RMF frameworks, cybersecurity documentation, and DoD compliance procedures.
  • Excellent attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset.
