This role leads high-impact, complex implementations of enterprise healthcare technology solutions, ensuring seamless delivery from project planning to go-live and beyond. The Implementation Director will serve as the key point of contact for strategic clients, driving execution across multiple workstreams while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. This position requires strong leadership, risk management, and executive communication skills to navigate complex healthcare environments and deliver measurable client outcomes. You will mentor and coach team members, refine implementation processes, and influence product and operational strategies. The role combines hands-on project oversight with strategic thought partnership, ensuring implementations meet client goals efficiently and effectively. Remote work flexibility is supported, with opportunities for on-site collaboration as needed.
Accountabilities:
- Lead full-scale implementation projects for large, strategic healthcare clients, ensuring successful delivery on time and on budget.
- Develop and execute detailed project plans, removing obstacles and resolving risks independently.
- Act as a strategic liaison between clients, delivery teams, go-to-market, and product teams to design and implement tailored solutions.
- Build strong relationships with client stakeholders across all levels, driving collaboration and mutual goals.
- Mentor and coach Implementation Managers to navigate complex and ambiguous project challenges.
- Continuously improve implementation processes, tools, and playbooks to scale operational efficiency.
- Serve as the voice of the customer internally, providing feedback to inform product and delivery enhancements.
Requirements
- Significant experience in client-facing senior project management, consulting, or operations within healthcare technology implementations.
- Expertise with large hospital systems and/or payers, including Patient Access, Revenue Cycle Management, and/or EHR implementations.
- Strong prioritization and organizational skills across complex, interdependent workstreams.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to succinctly convey status, risks, and recommendations to executive stakeholders.
- Proven ability to build trust and maintain executive relationships during challenging situations.
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to anticipate, mitigate, and resolve risks independently while coaching others.
- Analytical skills and familiarity with tools such as Excel, Tableau, Looker, Salesforce, or Smartsheets.
- Intellectual curiosity and a continuous improvement mindset.
