GO Senior Software Engineer (Remote - EU)

As a GO Senior Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing and building large-scale distributed systems for high-impact conversational commerce solutions. You will collaborate closely with product, AI, and frontend teams to deliver scalable, reliable, and performant services across messaging platforms. This role offers the opportunity to work in a remote-first, fast-paced environment, solving both deep technical challenges and product-focused problems. You will be responsible for critical parts of the infrastructure, contributing to backend architecture, data pipelines, and API integrations while ensuring operational excellence and measurable business outcomes. Mentorship, code quality, and proactive problem-solving are central to success in this role.

Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain distributed backend systems using Go, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and DynamoDB.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product managers, designers, AI, and enterprise teams to define user journeys, performance goals, and success metrics.
• Own and optimize critical platform infrastructure, including messaging orchestration, data pipelines, and API integrations.
• Ensure reliability, observability, and operational excellence across services.
• Establish and iterate on performance metrics, leveraging data to optimize outcomes.
• Mentor teammates, conduct code reviews, and uphold engineering best practices in a fast-moving, distributed environment.
• Plan and manage workstreams, balancing deadlines, quality, and innovation effectively.

• BS or MS in Computer Science or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of hands-on software engineering experience.
• Proven experience building and scaling enterprise systems with Go, AWS, Kafka, Postgres, and/or DynamoDB.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, concurrency, and data consistency.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and evolving product requirements.
• Excellent communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Python or frontend frameworks (React, TypeScript) is a plus.
• Prior experience with WhatsApp conversational applications is advantageous.
• Experience working in fast-paced, customer-centric environments, ideally in a startup or high-growth tech company.
• Based in Europe, with a remote-first work style and occasional team offsites.
