This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Field Service Technician II (DMV area) in the United States.
This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work with advanced HVAC and precision cooling systems, supporting clients through installation, commissioning, and ongoing maintenance. The Field Service Technician II will provide technical expertise, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure equipment operates at peak performance. This position combines travel, customer interaction, and technical problem-solving in a dynamic environment. You will work closely with service coordinators and internal teams to deliver high-quality service, maintain documentation, and ensure compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and passionate about providing exceptional technical support in the HVAC/R field.
Accountabilities
- Provide Factory Authorized Services including start-up, commissioning, preventive maintenance, diagnostics, break/fix support, and BMS interface.
- Coordinate service activity with Field Service Coordinators and communicate status updates effectively.
- Review technical documentation and schematics in preparation for scheduled service visits.
- Document all service activity accurately and submit reports promptly.
- Provide follow-up documentation to clients for start-up, warranty, and performance evaluations.
- Manage vehicle inventory and maintain tools and equipment for service calls.
- Attend product training sessions and support off-hour or overtime assignments as needed.
- Travel to client sites as required.
Requirements
- High School Diploma plus 1–2 years of trade school education in HVAC/R or related field, or 7 years of HVAC/R industry experience, or Journeyman/Master HVAC trade license.
- Type II EPA certification for handling and reclamation of refrigerants.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
- In progress or current attainment of Journeyman HVAC license or equivalent.
- OSHA10 training.
- Strong ability to read and follow written instructions, communicate verbally, and work from verbal guidance.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
- Physical capability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work at heights.
- Ability to travel by air to various job sites.
- Excellent time management, customer service, and problem-solving skills.
