ETL Developer

We are seeking an experienced ETL Developer with deep expertise in Oracle Data Integrator (ODI) to join our team on a contractual basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, and advanced SQL, with added advantage for experience in Python scripting for API-based data ingestion. This is a night shift role (India time) suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, data-driven environment and can work independently with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain ETL processes and stored procedures using Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
• Develop and document data warehouse schemas, including fact and dimension tables, based on business needs.
• Write and execute SQL scripts for table creation and coordinate with DBAs for schema deployment.
• Analyze diverse data sources to identify data relationships and map them to Business Requirement Documents (BRD).
• Design and implement Extract, Load, Transform (ELT) workflows to move data efficiently from source to target systems.
• Perform data validation and profiling to ensure accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Apply data governance best practices, including query optimization, metadata management, and data quality checks.
• Demonstrate strong data modeling skills to develop scalable and efficient data architectures.
• Use Python scripting to automate API-based data ingestion and enhance integration processes.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues through root cause analysis.
• Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, presenting insights and recommendations clearly.
• Exhibit strong research and problem-solving capabilities to address complex data challenges.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 8+ years of overall experience in ETL/Data Warehousing.
• 5+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Data Integrator (ODI).
• Strong command over SQL, data modeling, and ETL/ELT design.
• Proven experience in data warehouse architecture and schema design.
• Working knowledge of Python scripting for API integrations and automation.
• Solid understanding of data governance, data quality, and performance tuning.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice to Have:

• Exposure to cloud platforms (Oracle Cloud, AWS, Azure, etc.)
• Experience with version control tools (Git or similar)
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies
