Enterprise Data Engineer & Architect w/ AWS- REMOTE

This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a major Enterprise Data Optimization initiative, focusing equally on engineering and architecture. You will design, implement, and optimize data systems that improve retrieval speeds dramatically while providing thought leadership in enterprise data strategy. The position requires collaboration across teams to ensure seamless data integration and accessibility organization-wide. This is a hands-on, senior-level role that combines coding, system design, and architecture planning, providing significant impact on operational efficiency and data-driven decision-making. Candidates will engage with cutting-edge AWS technologies and automation practices in a high-visibility, innovative environment.

Accountabilities:

·        Collaborate with other architects and engineers to balance responsibilities between engineering and architecture.

·        Design, build, and optimize enterprise data structures and APIs for faster data retrieval.

·        Implement solutions that enhance system performance, targeting significant improvements in speed and efficiency.

·        Provide thought leadership and consult on best practices within the Enterprise Data Optimization initiative.

·        Ensure seamless data integration and accessibility across multiple teams and business units.

·        Maintain and improve cloud infrastructure and automation, leveraging AWS, Kubernetes, and related technologies.

·        10+ years of experience in enterprise data engineering and architecture.

·        Extensive hands-on experience with AWS services, including S3, Redshift, Aurora Postgres, Glue, Lambda, Step Functions, Lake Formation, and Kinesis.

·        Proficiency in Python, SQL, Terraform, and Kubernetes, with the ability to independently implement and automate environments.

·        Proven track record as a versatile “jack of all trades” in enterprise data solutions.

·        Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in both engineering and architectural capacities.

·        Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with cross-functional teams.

·        Experience in optimizing large-scale data systems for high performance and efficiency.
