As a Full Stack Engineer, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of modern, scalable web applications that enhance program integrity operations in healthcare. You will work across the full technology stack, building backend systems, APIs, and user interfaces while ensuring security, reliability, and performance. This role allows you to collaborate with cross-functional teams, influence technical direction, and help deliver impactful solutions that streamline workflows and improve data-driven decision-making. You’ll thrive in a remote-first, mission-driven environment that emphasizes collaboration, learning, and innovation.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, implement, and maintain backend services using Java/SpringBoot and develop dynamic user interfaces with Angular/TypeScript.
  • Contribute to API development, data models, and integration with frontend applications and third-party systems.
  • Optimize data operations for performance, scalability, and security while ensuring data integrity.
  • Leverage test-driven development and automated testing suites to maintain high-quality code.
  • Collaborate with team members to scope, estimate, and deliver medium-to-large features while reducing technical debt.
  • Participate in cross-functional initiatives to support the modernization and cloud migration of core systems.
  • Follow established processes to deliver a consistent flow of features and provide mentorship to junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional experience in full stack application development.
  • Strong experience with Java/SpringBoot, Angular, TypeScript, and related web technologies.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins), observability/monitoring tools (e.g., New Relic, CloudWatch, Splunk), and relational databases.
  • Knowledge of AWS services and cloud-based architectures.
  • Experience with unit-test automation and test-driven development practices.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, collaboration abilities, and adaptability in a remote-first environment.
  • Bonus points for experience with: FHIR, Camunda workflows, AI/ML, PostgreSQL tuning, large-scale systems, or healthcare technology solutions.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or provide proof of eligibility to work in the U.S. and able to meet Public Trust background investigation requirements.
