This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Designer - Security in the United States.

This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to launch a career at the intersection of technology and the built environment. You will work closely with experienced engineers to design, document, and implement security and technology systems for building projects. The position provides structured mentorship, hands-on training in Revit and AutoCAD, and exposure to a wide variety of building systems including security, audiovisual, telecommunications, and networks. You will participate in client meetings, support project documentation, and gradually take on more responsibility as you develop technical skills. This role emphasizes collaboration, process improvement, and high-quality delivery in a fast-paced, professional environment, making it ideal for individuals eager to grow their expertise and impact real-world projects.

Accountabilities:

·         Learn and contribute to building design and project workflows, focusing on security and technology systems.

·         Prepare Revit models, AutoCAD drawings, and supporting documentation for client deliverables.

·         Assist in the preparation of specifications, design calculations, and technical research.

·         Support senior engineers during site inspections to assess existing conditions and project progress.

·         Attend client and internal project meetings, documenting key decisions and discussions.

·         Contribute to process improvement initiatives, maintaining internal workflows and best practices.

·         Ensure accurate and timely reporting of timesheets and expense records.

·         Perform other delegated duties as assigned to support project and team success.

Requirements

·         Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical preferred) or equivalent experience.

·         Familiarity with construction industry processes or equivalent professional exposure is a plus.

·         Proficiency or exposure to Autodesk tools such as Revit and AutoCAD; Bluebeam Studio, G Suite, and Microsoft Office proficiency required.

·         Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

·         Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.

·         Problem-solving skills and process-oriented mindset with attention to detail.

·         EIT or CDT certification is a plus, but not required.
