Cybersecurity Engineer I/II (Remote - US

Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across network, infrastructure, application, and data layers.
• Perform risk assessments, penetration tests, and vulnerability assessments to identify and remediate security gaps.
• Develop and maintain automation tools for threat detection, response, and reporting.
• Collaborate with DevOps and IT teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud environments.
• Monitor and respond to security incidents, working with SOC and incident response teams.
• Support compliance initiatives and contribute to the creation of security policies, playbooks, and operational procedures.
• Participate in red/blue team exercises, threat modeling, and continuous evaluation of emerging threats.

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cybersecurity engineering or related roles.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Python or Java for automation, scripting, and tool development.
• Hands-on experience with penetration testing tools (e.g., Burp Suite, Metasploit, Nmap).
• Strong understanding of network security, firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and Zero Trust principles.
• Knowledge of data security principles including encryption, DLP, and access controls.
• Familiarity with securing web/mobile applications, APIs, microservices, and containerized deployments.
• Experience with cloud and hybrid infrastructure security (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Understanding of SOC workflows, SIEM platforms, and incident response procedures.
• Relevant certifications such as OSCP, CEH, CISSP, or GIAC are a plus.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.
