This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Contract Platform Engineer in the European Union.

As a Contract Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in building and optimizing scalable, resilient, and secure cloud-based platforms. You will work closely with software teams to integrate Infrastructure as Code practices, design CI/CD pipelines, and automate deployment processes that enhance operational efficiency. This contract role offers the opportunity to collaborate in a fast-paced, remote-first environment, tackling complex technical challenges while contributing to innovative client solutions. You will be responsible for ensuring platform reliability, monitoring, and continuous improvement, while engaging in knowledge-sharing and cross-functional collaboration.

Accountabilities

  • Build and maintain platform features that support client applications and internal tools.
  • Design, implement, and automate CI/CD pipelines to ensure reliable software delivery.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) into development workflows.
  • Ensure the scalability, security, and resilience of cloud-based systems and services.
  • Monitor platform performance and implement improvements through automation and best practices.
  • Participate in engineering initiatives, show-and-tells, and knowledge-sharing across teams.
  • Support on-call rotations as needed, addressing platform issues and escalations.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in automation and platform engineering.
  • Strong programming experience with C# and PowerShell; familiarity with Typescript is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Pulumi, Terraform, or AWS CloudFormation.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Azure, particularly Azure Key Vault.
  • Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and serverless architectures (AWS Lambda, Azure Functions).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
  • Ability to switch between multiple programming languages and paradigms effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, proactive attitude, and ability to work independently in a collaborative, remote environment.
  • Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana is advantageous.
  • High resilience, adaptability, and a detail-oriented mindset.
