Commercetools Front-End Developer

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Front-End Developer with expertise in Commercetools to design and build high-performing, scalable eCommerce interfaces. In this role, you will collaborate closely with UX/UI designers, backend engineers, and product teams to deliver seamless, interactive, and responsive user experiences. You will play a key role in integrating front-end components with Commercetools APIs, optimizing performance, and maintaining clean, reusable code. The position offers a fully remote, dynamic work environment where staying up-to-date with emerging technologies and best practices is essential. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, problem-solvers, and passionate about building modern eCommerce solutions.

Accountabilities:

·         Design, develop, and implement responsive front-end components and user interfaces integrated with Commercetools APIs.

·         Collaborate with backend, UX/UI, and product teams to deliver smooth, end-to-end eCommerce experiences.

·         Build reusable code, components, and libraries for future scalability.

·         Optimize application performance, maintainability, and cross-browser compatibility.

·         Integrate third-party systems and APIs, including payment gateways, CMS, and analytics tools.

·         Translate wireframes, mockups, and design specifications into pixel-perfect, interactive interfaces.

·         Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to front-end best practices.

·         Troubleshoot and debug issues across various browsers and devices.

·         Stay updated with emerging front-end and Commercetools ecosystem trends and technologies.

·         6+ years of hands-on experience in front-end development.

·         Strong proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and modern UI frameworks (React.js, Next.js, or Vue.js).

·         Solid experience with Commercetools, including API integration, custom front-end implementations, and headless commerce architecture.

·         Experience with GraphQL or RESTful API integration.

·         Familiarity with Node.js for front-end build processes.

·         Knowledge of state management tools such as Redux, Zustand, or Context API.

·         Experience working with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and agile development environments.

·         Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and cross-browser compatibility.

·         Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a remote setup.
Good to have:

·         Experience with Composable Commerce architecture.

·         Familiarity with headless CMS tools such as Contentful or Storyblok.

·         Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).

·         Knowledge of eCommerce performance optimization and SEO best practices.

·         Experience with testing frameworks (Jest, Cypress, React Testing Library).
