It is fully remote for candidates based in Eastern Time (EST) zones.
Accountabilities:
- Collaborate with security leadership to implement and maintain cloud security controls aligned with compliance and audit requirements.
- Drive vulnerability management and remediation across containerized workloads and cloud-native services.
- Build and operate monitoring systems to report on security posture, compliance, and incidents.
- Automate security operations including scanning, policy enforcement, and secret management.
- Integrate security best practices into CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code workflows.
- Participate in security reviews, audits, and risk assessments with cross-functional teams.
- Contribute to security documentation, policies, and awareness initiatives.
- Partner with development teams to deliver secure-by-design solutions.
- Participate in the on-call rotation to support cloud infrastructure security operations.
Requirements
- Must reside in a U.S. Eastern Time Zone state and have experience working with globally-distributed teams.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud security engineering or security operations.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS or other cloud platforms and Kubernetes.
- Deep understanding of container infrastructure, IAM, and secure network design.
- Experience with Terraform, Helm, or other infrastructure-as-code tools.
- Familiarity with cloud-native monitoring, logging, and vulnerability management tools.
- Proven ability to automate and scale security processes via scripting or workflow tools.
- Experience in threat modeling and penetration testing.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Security, GCP Professional Cloud Security Engineer, CISSP).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Knowledge of SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001, NIST, or other regulatory frameworks.
