As a Civil Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and managing infrastructure projects that support national security and critical operations. You’ll work on large-scale civil design initiatives involving water systems, grading, drainage, and pavement projects, ensuring compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations. This position offers a balance between technical design and project oversight, requiring close collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple phases of the engineering lifecycle. You will contribute to impactful, mission-driven projects that shape the future of infrastructure development.

Accountabilities:

  • Support ongoing civil design and construction projects, ensuring technical accuracy and project alignment with operational requirements.
  • Generate and review designs related to water distribution, sewage systems, grading, drainage, and pavement evaluation.
  • Prepare and validate design/evaluation calculations, estimates, and technical specifications during all phases of engineering projects.
  • Contribute to design documentation, configuration management, and verification of existing site conditions.
  • Ensure project requirements remain traceable from design through construction and turnover to operations.
  • Utilize civil engineering software such as Flowmaster, Culvertmaster, and HEC-RAS.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to identify and resolve design conflicts efficiently.
  • Provide estimating and budgeting support for ongoing and planned civil projects.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
  • Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or an equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant design and/or field experience (10+ years for Senior, 15+ years for Principal level).
  • Active or reciprocal eligibility for a Nevada Professional Engineer License.
  • Strong understanding of Federal, State, and Local civil engineering codes and standards, including DOE regulations.
  • Proficiency with MicroStation/InRoads CAD applications.
  • Demonstrated experience in estimating, budgeting, and project documentation.
  • Ability to work in a diverse environment and comply with pre-employment background and drug screening requirements.
  • Preferred experience with Flowmaster, Culvertmaster, and HEC-RAS software tools.
