This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Broadcast Field Engineer in the United States.

This role offers a hands-on opportunity to work on cutting-edge broadcast and IT systems across multiple sites. The Broadcast Field Engineer will be responsible for commissioning, configuring, and maintaining complex audio, video, and networking systems, ensuring high-quality execution from project start to finish. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, scalable solutions while upholding safety and technical standards. This position involves frequent travel and on-site work, providing a dynamic, varied environment for skilled engineers who thrive on problem-solving and technical leadership. Success in this role comes from delivering operational excellence, troubleshooting challenging systems, and mentoring peers.

Accountabilities

·         Adjust, test, configure, and commission broadcast and IT systems to ensure projects meet quality standards.

·         Work closely with design engineers, project managers, and lead installers to plan tasks, review drawings, and optimize system implementation.

·         Perform signal testing, programming, and certification of broadcast equipment including routers, switchers, mixers, cameras, servers, and displays.

·         Provide on-site training, technical support, and guidance to clients and team members.

·         Act as a final quality control point, ensuring all deliverables meet safety and performance requirements.

·         Identify integration inefficiencies and recommend process improvements.

·         Document completed work with commissioning reports, red-lined drawings, and punch lists.

Requirements

·         High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

·         Minimum of 5 years’ experience in broadcast system installation, commissioning, or field engineering.

·         Strong understanding of audio/video theory, IT networking, and broadcast system integration.

·         Proficiency in reading CAD drawings, blueprints, and technical diagrams.

·         Experience troubleshooting audio, video, and IP signal flows.

·         Excellent soldering, computer, and communication skills.

·         Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., work at heights up to 25 feet, and operate in varied physical environments.

·         Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 70%, sometimes on short notice.

·         Preferred experience with ST 2110 IP media networks, Dante/AES67 audio-over-IP, IPTV, and equipment from Evertz, Ross, Sony, Grass Valley, and similar vendors.

·         Certifications such as SBE, CTS-I, CTS-D, or other broadcast/networking credentials are a plus.
