Job Description

We are looking for Bookkeeper who will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting, job costing, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll. A solid understanding of construction estimating is required to support budgeting and cost control efforts on projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate financial records using accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or similar)
  • Perform job costing and track expenses by project
  • Process accounts payable and receivable, invoices, and vendor payments
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and vendor statements
  • Prepare financial reports, including P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets
  • Assist with estimating by reviewing plans, material take-offs, and subcontractor bids
  • Support project managers with budget tracking and cost-to-complete analysis
  • Manage payroll and ensure compliance with construction labor laws

Requirements

bookkeeping experience, preferably in construction

Knowledge of construction accounting and job costing is required

Experience with estimating processes, bids, or take-offs is a strong plus

Proficient in accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or Buildertrend)

Strong Excel and data entry skills

Attention to detail and high level of accuracy

Excellent communication and organizational skills
