This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for an Associate Technical Product Manager in the United States.
This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to technical product management within a fast-growing, hands-on environment. The Associate Technical Product Manager will support data operations, translate business needs into actionable technical deliverables, and develop tools that streamline workflows and reduce manual effort. You will maintain database performance, implement ELT pipelines, automate processes with Python, and build dashboards to support team efficiency. This position is ideal for someone seeking their first technical product management role while collaborating closely with engineers, stakeholders, and leadership to drive measurable impact in a dynamic, remote-friendly environment.
Accountabilities
- Maintain PostgreSQL performance, write and review queries, and troubleshoot database issues.
- Build Python scripts to automate data validation, cleaning, and movement.
- Design, implement, and maintain ELT pipelines using tools such as Airbyte or dbt.
- Develop internal tools and dashboards to reduce manual work and improve workflow efficiency.
- Translate business requirements into clear tickets, documentation, and actionable tasks for engineers and non-technical stakeholders.
- Integrate AI helpers into workflows to save time and reduce errors.
- Improve reliability and cost-efficiency of cloud infrastructure (AWS) using Git and Docker.
- Respond to ad hoc data requests with rapid analysis and summaries.
- Write and maintain concise, up-to-date technical documentation.
- Facilitate communication between engineering, leadership, and stakeholders as needed.
Requirements
- Authorized to work in the United States.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; IT or technical experience preferred.
- 1–3 years in a technical role such as software engineering, data engineering, analytics, or DevOps.
- Strong SQL skills with PostgreSQL, including indexing and query tuning.
- Proficiency in Python for automation and data manipulation.
- Experience with ELT tools such as Airbyte or dbt.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to learn new tools quickly and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
- Nice to have: familiarity with AWS, Git, Docker, startups, and exposure to project management practices.
