🛠️ Operations Team @ Bloom & Wild Group

The Operations team at bloomon and Bloom & Wild is split into three sub-teams, although in practice there is a close collaboration between all these sub-teams on a daily basis:

Flower sourcing, styling and quality - this team is responsible for purchasing our fresh products like flowers and plants, mainly through direct collaboration with growers around the world. They also manage our inbound supply chain and work closely with our flower supply chain partners to optimise for quality and costs. Within our own and 3rd party warehouses they monitor and optimise for styling and quality.
Warehouse Operations - Across our 3 strong brands we have various warehouses across the EU. The teams based at these sites run our daily production and fulfilment operation of all products we sell. The non-horti procurement of addons and packaging items is also part of the scope of this team. They optimise for customer satisfaction, On Time-In Full fulfilment, quality and associated COGS.
Logistics & 3rd party fulfilment - managing our partially outsourced sourcing, production and fulfilment in the UK and optimising our delivery organisation in all countries we are active in. The team works closely with our carrier partners (and coordinating our own delivery network) to achieve operational excellence and optimise for customer satisfaction, delivery performance, capacity and associated COGS.

The production team of our Amstelveen warehouse is responsible for the daily production of thousands of bouquets. Our bouquet range is large, with a wide variety of different stems, designs, and arrangements, making our production operation both dynamic and complex. By using our in-house developed tools and software we’re continuously improving the quality and efficiency of our operation. As production manager you are responsible for the daily production shift and to ensure the team is performing to its full potential.

Responsibilities

⚙️ What you'll be doing:

Responsible for daily management of the the production workforce in our Amstelveen warehouse (approx. 45 labour agency FTE)

Ensure all bouquets are produced efficiently, in time and in optimal quality, across our production lines, in collaboration with our quality team

Testing and implementation of innovations and continuous improvement of the production process together with the team and your manager

Together with your team and manager, support the expedition team where needed in outbound transport

Planning of people and shifts on the line, as well as any other additional production-related activities

Contact with agencies (labour agencies) on planning and agency worker performance

Coordinate, validate and administrate time clocking of all staff

Step up and coordinate operations during peaks (Christmas, Valentines, Mothers Day)

Backfill to manage fulfilment or other warehouse operations when required.

+3 years experience in (production) operations

Proven leadership skills (managing a team/shift)

Strong communication skills - being able to effectively communicate to a wide group of stakeholders

Brings structure with attention to detail

Flexibility with regard to working hours (early start or late ending - pending requirement)

Stressproof and talent for organising

Proactive mindset

Digitally proficient / IT literate

Proficient in English (both verbally and written)

Verbal proficiency in Polish

Working hours: Fulltime, 40h, 08:00–17:00h.

✅ Nice to have skills:

Verbal proficiency in Dutch and/or Bulgarian

Experience in working with Excel / Google Sheets, Slack

Experience in working with flowers or fresh produce.
