Job Description

The Principal Product Manager (Product Led Data Contribution and Business Visibility) owns a product-led data contribution ecosystem where small businesses voluntarily attest to and consent to sharing information through a true freemium experience and then upgrade into paid products that enhance profile completeness, trust, and creditworthiness.

This role is accountable for designing the loop that turns self-serve participation into measurable business value and monetization, operating at the intersection of product-led growth (PLG), consent-driven data collection, trust signals, and freemium expansion. The Principal Product Manager leads product strategy, development, and lifecycle management, driving product vision, market analysis, and cross-functional collaboration from ideation through launch and ongoing optimization.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Own the consent-based data contribution loop by designing intuitive, low-friction user experiences that drive attestations and explicit consent.
  • Ensure data contribution experiences clearly communicate purpose, usage, and value delivered back to the business.
  • Define and deliver freemium value including profile completeness, trust indicators, and validation features.
  • Design monetization pathways extending freemium into paid offerings such as advanced scoring and trust badges.
  • Own experimentation and KPIs including attestation completion, consent rates, profile progression, and conversion.
  • Translate abstract trust and credibility concepts into clear product experiences and requirements.
  • Act as the voice of the SMB customer, addressing skepticism and friction around data sharing.
  • Drive product strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle management end-to-end.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with GTM, Technology, Sales, CX, Legal, Data, and Finance.
  • Define product requirements, validate hypotheses, track performance, and mentor junior team members.
  • Essential Skills and/or Certifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree with major in Business Administration, Technology or related disciplines
  • At least 12 years’ experience in Product Management, ideally in PLG or growth environments
  • Experience designing consent-driven user flows and data permission journeys.
  • Strong product analytics skills including funnels, experimentation, and cohort analysis.
  • Proven cross-functional collaboration across Product, Legal, Data, and GTM.
  • Market research, competitive analysis, and strategic thinking.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in trust systems, identity, verification, or marketplaces is preferred
  • Familiarity with SMB audiences and credibility-driven behaviors is desirable
  • Ability to translate complex trust concepts into simple UX is preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite skills
  • Show an ownership mindset in everything you do. Be a problem solver, be curious and be inspired to take action. Be proactive, seek ways to collaborate and connect with people and teams in support of driving success.
  • Continuous growth mindset, keep learning through social experiences and relationships with stakeholders, experts, colleagues and mentors as well as widen and broaden your competencies through structural courses and programs.
  • Where applicable, fluency in English and languages relevant to the working market.
