What You'll Do
Own the Austria P&L end to end, steering net revenue and contribution margin while balancing top-line growth with profitability across the market.
Develop and execute the growth strategy for Austria, tailoring global initiatives to the local market and uncovering country-specific levers, channels and opportunities.
Steer the marketing budget and channel mix, driving performance marketing towards clear ROAS targets and optimising spend across acquisition and conversion.
Own the commercial levers for the market — pricing, promotions, assortment and webshop product positioning — and bring optimised initiatives rather than repeating past actions.
Lead projects and testing, from user experience optimisation to uncovering new sales channels, scaling what works quickly to unlock further growth.
Deliver against your core KPIs — net revenue, contribution margin, NPS and team engagement — and build the value case and reporting behind every growth initiative.
Bring Austria visibility across Emma, partnering with Global Marketing, Category Management and Operations so the market never operates in a silo.
Build and develop a highly ambitious country team of 4 people, plus interns, guiding business development and marketing managers to perform at a consistently higher level.
Who We're Looking For
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Management, Finance, Marketing, Engineering or a comparable field, and you apply that foundation commercially.
You bring 7+ years of experience in ecommerce (D2C or marketplaces), FMCG, retail or consumer goods, ideally in a fast-moving, scale-up environment.
You have a strong performance marketing background and have owned an online marketing budget and marketing strategy at product, brand, category or country level.
You have owned the full marketing channel mix and managed marketing in-house, rather than delegating the levers entirely to external agencies.
P&L ownership experience and having steered commercial levers such as pricing, discounts, promotional calendars, assortment and product positioning, is highly desirable.
You are analytical and data-driven, making decisions from numbers rather than assumptions, and you question the status quo when the data points elsewhere.
You are a natural influencer and strong stakeholder manager, able to create visibility for your market and get things moving without relying on formal authority.
You are fluent in German and English.
